Almond Cacao with Mint and Matcha

Almondbutter, water, raw cacao powder, 1 banana, a bit coconut oil, fresh mint leaves and matcha in the blender.....a dream :-) I realize more and more: all this agave syrop, dates and stuff is not really necessary to sweeten up smoothies.....

Almond milk and matcha in the blender plus some ice cubes......hmmm :-)

Organic beef with curcuma, cumin and onions

Parsley-Carrots + Quinoa and mixed Salad with herbs + selfmade Cashew-"Cheese"

Carrots are one of sooo many veggies, which have much more absorbable nutritions when they are cooked. And which are easier to digest.
Raw ist great. But sometimes cooked is better. Otherwise we still had the brain of an Australopithecus...but hum....would be probably better....

Chicory for the "boats", fill them with sliced carrots, avocados, tomatoes, curcumbers, coriander and for the amazing tasty sauce you take: chopped mild onions, olive-sesam-and coconut oil, honey, a tiny little bit of almondmilk, some cinnamon, salt, pepper...uuach...its really yummy!

Lime-tree blossom tea

Oohhh the last weeks Marseille was smelling like a sweet dream. It was soo amazing! Lime-tree blossoms smell like a wonderful mixture of curcumber and rock melon - at least in my nose ;-)
And finally I found some trees in a parc with reachable branches...

Lentil Salad with eggs

Funny, this dish reminds me food pictures from the 70ies ;-)
Beluga lentils with onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper (I cooked them with too much water...),
add some tomatoes, eggs, and yes I loove them: sardines, sprinkle some sliced spring onions.
Bon appetit.

Carrot Salad

Classical version: carrots, celery stalks and leaves, curcumber, apple, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil :-)

Lentil Salad with warm potatoes

I used green lentils and my favorite ones: Beluga lentils. I sliced spring onions, chopped parsley while the potatoes were cooking. For the vinaigrette I used olive oil, a loOot of apple-vinegar, some lemon juice, salt, pepper, chopped two toes of garlic and very small chopped "Maggi" leaves (important for the taste!).
Mix the cold lentils with vinaigrette and after fold in the still warm potatoes. On top I added some Tamari sauce.

Dr. Fuhrman's EAT TO LIVE - a life saving book!!

Well, I did not buy this book for loosing weight! I bought it for my parents. They are not fat at all but they take a lot of meds where I am sure they could at least minimise them with more vegetables, especially raw vegetables - and NO coffee, cakes, meat, pasta and white bread. I just wanted to have more arguments ;-) So, yesterday it arrived! When I started to read (and Im still reading) Fuhrmans words I thougth: hey, this is e x a c t l y what I live!!! Just in the oil-point I dont agree with him. Our brain needs fat! Our organism needs fat as well to get all the nutritions out of the veggies. Anyway, I am not able to eat megabig portions of salad or other raw veggies - so I need oil the get enough calories, otherwise I would get to skinny.
As well I can say that this book is really made for the burger-fries-donat-cookies-eating american who lost all ideas about what the meaning of food could be.
So this book is written for another planet! But - and here this book is so amazingly important and LIFE SAVING for everybody who is suffering from several deseases or wants to prevent them: Fuhrman explains so simple and wonderful the connection between heart-deseases, diabetes etc., the development of cancer and FOOD!!
My parents are living in germany, Berlin so I write them mails and call them several times to tell them the message and I congure them to give this way of eating a try for about 4 weeks.
I actually tryed already before reading Fuhrman's book to make them eating healthier. There is hope that they are open - because since some weeks they have a green smoothie every morning. This is a good base, a good start for more.
And now I have even better arguments and examples! :-)
Thank you Dr. Fuhrman!!

Lin seeds with avocado and banana

okay, its really not a very pretty meal ;-) I put it here already once, but more like a dessert.
This time I put much more lin seeds like 50 grams in the food-processor, added 2 bananas, 1 avocado and lots of lemon juice and some verveine leaves. Its a perfect dish for two persons on a lazy day. I unfortunately had no berries to make it more pretty ;-)

Green Smoothie

Like every day: a biig green smoothie! This time with broccoli leaves, spinace, coriander, 2 bananas, 1 apple, juice of half a lemon, water..... :-)
And you know what?? I dont have a VITAMIX.......!! My blender was around 80 Euro. He is just doing a fine work and he is even not so loud! His name is: Philips HR2096/00 Avance (with very smart blades!!! - I rarely need the tamper). Probably he wont get the age like a Vitamix - but shall I wait to drink Smoothies till I can/want to efford him? I think this would be pretty stupid.

day off.....

Today we were strolling through Marseille for hours and suddenly I had such a desire for junk!
So I had alltogether an onion quiche, a baguette with Merguez, two beer, after a cake (unfortunately a bad one) and two coffee.
And believe it or not: I enjoyed it! Or better, we enjoyed it. Franck had the same. And apart of the cake everthing was just great. I actually dont like white bread at all - today I loved it. But half an hour later I got the bill (of course...) - I just felt weird around my stomac and my head...
Day off makes fun - and shows you again what your body really likes: healthy food - and no junk.
For dinner we made raw noodles with raw tomatosauce to be nice to our bodies again ;-)

Nearly Raw Spinace Pesto Pizza

the base: my raw bread

Raw bread with fresh coriander and sesamseeds.....and two big pieces for the piiiizzzaaaaaa :-)

Mixed tomatoes, red pepper and coriander with Tamari sauce and salt ready for the dehydration.
They were at the end a bit too baked...thats why I call this dish "nearly raw Pizza" ;-)

And the Spinace Pesto: I used sunseeds, linseeds and sesam for the base. Spinace, coriander, oil, some dried apricots, garlic and salt in the food processor.

Steamed veggies with organic chicken and wine :-)

We just love them again and again: steamed veggies. This time with a steamed little piece of organic chicken. With lots of good oil and some Tamari sauce. And a glas of wine.
